NUMBER REGISTRY

About

A permanent registry for the numbers that matter to people.

The idea

Numbers are everywhere in our lives. Your birthday. Your jersey number in high school. The year you got married. The address you grew up in. The number of a flight that changed everything. Numbers carry meaning that goes far beyond their mathematical value.

Number Registry exists so that anyone can claim a number as their own — and have that ownership recorded permanently, in a tamper-proof public ledger that will outlast any company, server, or database.

It's the same idea as a domain name or a vanity license plate, but for numbers — and unlike those, it can never expire, be taken away, or be transferred without your consent.

How it works

When you claim a number, we create a non-fungible token (NFT) — a unique cryptographic asset — and deliver it to a wallet in your name. The token ID on the blockchain is the number itself. If you claim 1985, the blockchain permanently records that token #1985 belongs to you.

You don't need to know anything about crypto. You pay by credit card, just like buying anything else online. We handle the blockchain side. You get an email with your ownership certificate.

If you ever want to sell or give away your number, you can do that too — either directly or through our built-in marketplace. Numbers with historical or cultural significance are preserved as Heritage numbers and cannot be individually owned.

Why permanent?

Most digital ownership is an illusion. A domain name is a lease. An in-game item exists only as long as the game server does. An account username can be suspended. The platform can go away.

Blockchain-based ownership is different. Your record doesn't live on our servers — it lives on a public network maintained by thousands of independent computers around the world. Even if Number Registry disappeared tomorrow, your ownership record would remain, verifiable by anyone, forever.

That's the promise we wanted to make: not just "yours until further notice," but genuinely, irrevocably yours.
